Tony Wilson (b. 1980, Adelaide) is a Kaurna, Narungga and Ngarrindjeri multidisciplinary artist whose work explores identity, cultural resonance, and the journey into meaning and purpose. With Aboriginal and Italian ancestry, his practice reflects a lifelong reconnection with heritage and place. He works in painting and photography, two practices united by the same inspiration. His art is shaped by the textures and patterns of nature, human relationships, and the connections that bind them. Through painting he layers cultural iconography with reflections on land, sky, and water, while his photography captures street life, portraits, and the subtle moments in between. Travel and cross-cultural exchange are central to his practice, with international residencies in Italy and Southeast Asia deepening his understanding of identity, belonging, and place.
