Torinne Zach is a Brisbane based artist specialising in graphite drawing and fine art photography. In 2015, Torinne completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at the Queensland College of Art and currently works as a practicing artist and photographer. Across both disciplines, the interconnection between fashion and art, and its inspiration and tension that it draws from one another is a prominent concept Torinne investigates in her work.
Torinne's delicate touch to graphite drawing combined with her fragmented composition and negative space, creates an interesting image that investigates the tension between representation and materiality. Her photography practice is also highly influenced by alluring aesthetics through visual richness and often attempts to find a middle ground between a fashion and fine art image. The relationship between representation, subject, artist and viewer remain an integral part of the concept.
