Artist Bio

Hello, my name’s Tracey & I love trees! Just thought I’d put that out there.

My current style is, art in free-form. No rules, no expectations, no planned outcome. Very chill, no pretension, slop on some paint and let's see what happens. Style? I don’t even have a style to be honest. Apparently to be a ‘real’ artist, you should be able to be recognized simply by your style.
Thou shalt not be pigeonholed.
Artistic style cramps my creative style, so there.
Colour is what excites me, as opposed to form. For me painting is all about feelings & emotions. Each piece is inevitably perceived differently for each individual.

I’ve enjoyed painting for the past 40yrs. It calms my mind & feeds my soul. I am compelled to be creative, without it things would be very bleak indeed.

Abstract has always been my preferred choice, & nature is my muse. Nature is everything!

The reason I started selling is that I'm struggling to fit anymore art in my house. I have no interest in the selling side, so I leave all that to Bluethumb who do a very good job.

So as you can see, I suck at selling myself 😆
It's not my aim. If you like my work that's great. If you like it enough to buy it, that's awesome it means I can keep on doing what I love. If it doesn’t appeal to you, that's ok too, I’m grateful you took the time to have a look. Though I must admit, it's a wonderful feeling when others have an appreciation for what I do. There truly is a little part of my heart & soul in every single piece.

Ever since I was a child, I’ve had a very strong connection with the land, animals & nature. I’m extremely proud to belong to the Anaiwan mob from the New England area of NSW where I grew up.

Thanks for taking the time to visit, I sincerely appreciate it. I hope you find a piece that speaks to you, as it does me. It's a wonderful thing.
