Hydrangea (pink, pale blue and yellow)

Hydrangeas are made up of many individual blooms to make a whole. I give each bloom as much attention as the other. My fascination with this hydrangea was the various different shades that appeared in the one flower. I especially loved the hints of yellow. These pastel tones are restful, subtle and calming and would suit a bedroom or living room.

Tracey Hall won her first art competition at the age of 8 but raising a family has taken up most of her time until recently. Primarily self-taught, she began painting brides’ bouquets as an everlasting wedding memento in 2013.

Tracey specialises in realistic, intricate and detailed artworks of glorious blooms and natural subjects so painting bouquets seemed a natural fit. Immediately the feedback from florists working in the wedding industry was very positive as they saw this service as an alternative to having flowers preserved.

The intricate layers in her paintings create a maze for the eye and capture the viewers’ interest again and again. Tracey loves colour and the natural world is often a riot of colour and is a constant inspiration.
