Artwork Description

Black swan head shot. I was inspired to paint this from seeing many black swans on the water near Port Albert which is located on the coast in the Gippsland region in Victoria. Port Albert is a fishing town well worth visiting. There is a very popular fish & chip shop/restaurant at the end of the wharf. The painting is set in a black frame with a white mat board. Please note: this piece is raw and has not been sealed with any sealing product.

I'm an artist based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, where I create in a variety of styles and mediums. My practice is rooted in a love for vibrant colour and expressive form, spanning from quirky naïve art and linocut prints to abstract works, portraits, surrealism, and impressionism. I work primarily with acrylics, oils, and rich oil pastels, allowing each piece to come to life with its own unique energy and personality.
