Artwork Description

A captivating blend of abstract, surrealist, modern and naïve styles, this original painting celebrates solitude, adventure and the restorative power of nature.
Perched on the edge of a breathtaking snowy precipice, a lone skier pauses to absorb the beauty of the landscape before them. Dressed from head to toe in a striking harlequin ski suit of vibrant orange and olive green, the figure stands quietly beneath a glowing orange-white sun, inviting the viewer to imagine the thoughts and dreams unfolding in this peaceful moment.
Beyond the skier, rolling hills recede into the distance in harmonious layers of olive green, orange, white and soft pale blue. The dreamlike landscape, paired with the delicate pale blue sky, creates a wonderful sense of stillness, freedom and contemplation, while gently blurring the line between reality and imagination.
Rich in colour, texture and symbolism, this painting is designed to evoke a feeling rather than simply depict a place. It encourages the viewer to pause, breathe deeply and reflect on life's journey, making it a distinctive and uplifting addition to any snow chalet, home or art collection.
Finished with a protective satin varnish, this original artwork comes ready to hang in a beautifully handcrafted Tasmanian Oak floating frame, allowing it to be enjoyed from the moment it arrives.
