Artwork Description

Wearing a warm blue jacket and a cosy yellow scarf, a lady pauses beside a winding white path with her faithful black dog close beside her. Wearing a black beanie, she stands half-turned towards the viewer, with her gaze drifting thoughtfully across the Irish coastline, inviting us to wonder what memories or dreams occupy her mind.
The meandering white path leads the eye towards a distant white Irish cottage, nestled amongst rolling hills that unfold like a patchwork quilt of rich greens, warm oranges and deep black tones. At the heart of the landscape, a magnificent tree stands with a range of pastel green and yellow colours, echoing the ever-changing colours of nature.
Beyond the countryside, the tranquil blue sea stretches across the horizon beneath an atmospheric olive yellow green sky, where gentle clouds mirror the colours of the sky. Balancing reality with imagination, the painting captures the quiet beauty and timeless spirit of the Irish countryside through a dreamlike, surrealist naïve perspective.
This original artwork has been finished with a protective satin varnish and is beautifully presented in a professionally handcrafted Tasmanian Oak floating frame, ready to hang and enjoy.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work!
I'm an artist based on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, where I create in a variety of styles and mediums. My practice is rooted in a love for vibrant colour and expressive form, spanning from quirky naïve art and linocut prints to abstract works, portraits, surrealism, and impressionism. I work primarily with acrylics, oils, and rich oil pastels, allowing each piece to come to life with its own unique energy and personality.
