Artwork Description

This enchanting naive surrealist style painting captures the quiet romance of the Irish coastline, where nature, colour, and imagination blend in perfect harmony. A lady in a red coat and green skirt strolls gently uphill along a winding countryside path, accompanied by her loyal black dog. Beneath a soft seaside sky, she wears a wide-brimmed sun hat, while the warm shadows cast by both figures add depth and serenity to the scene.
To the left, a beautifully expressive tree is painted in bold, uneven oval forms of soft olive green, ochre, coral pink, and black, echoing the layered contours of the landscape that lead the eye upward toward a green cottage perched on top of the hill. Above, the sky is a delicate wash of pale green and white. Three black birds drift high above, enhancing the dreamlike atmosphere and sense of freedom.
Rich in texture, colour, and emotion, this artwork evokes the peaceful beauty of coastal Ireland and the joy of walking amongst nature by the sea. The painting has been professionally finished with a satin varnish and cones in a professionally hand crafted Tasmanian Oak floating frame.
