Artwork Description

Still exploring iterations of my "half head people". This same guy comes into my mind whenever I want to start a new painting, so I'm just going with it for the present. "Heavy" Is a more traditional view of this guy, although still quite stylised. He is suffering, struggling, contemplating...I don't really now. What I do know is that like the rest of my paintings, his struggle is with himself. With his own mind. I will always struggle against the narrative my mind creates, and I know that most of the people around me do the same. Through my art, I'm hoping it makes everybody feel just that bit more normal.

Artist Bio

My artwork will be unavailable for 4 months as I will be in Florence on a contemporary art course- something I've wanted to do for years. Please watch this space as I expect my art will change or evolve over this time.
Tracey is an artist who likes to constantly explore different styles, techniques and subject matter. She is equally intrigued by the light play on a landscape as she is with the complexities of being a human. At the heart of every painting is a passionate and playful exploration of texture and colour.
