This work is pivotal to the Blue Boy story, which has just finished a successful exhibition in Newcastle.
Blue Boy was born, and he was different, and they called him a God. He knew he wasn't a God, but they worshipped him and locked him in a Palace and told him he was special. He started painting when he was a teenager, and his series of self-portraits shows his struggle with his sense of self. Identity Crisis shows in it's stark simplicity that Blue Boy didn't know who he was or was meant to be. **Note: Blue Boy isn't real, just a story that started to appear in my paintings.
