Everybody who has looked at this piece sees something entirely different- including things I didn't paint! So as with all my art, this painting is open to your interpretation. I painted it while thinking about the time we need to remove ourselves from the world and the pressure of our daily lives. Sometimes we need to leave behind the city, our friends, our pleasures and our stress. To sit and contemplate and just be with ourselves. I see this as an empowering artwork.
