Artwork Description

This artwork is a celebration of positivity, happiness and connection. The flowing pathways represent the journeys we take through life, always moving forward and leading us to new experiences and new connections.
They remind us to keep an open heart and enjoy the journey.
The circles represent people, families and communities. Each one is unique, filled with its own colours and patterns, showing that everyone brings something special to the world.
As our paths cross, we share stories, laughter and moments that make life richer.
The animals are our protectors and guides. They watch over the pathways and remind us to walk with kindness, courage and a positive spirit. They encourage us to look for the good in every day and to care for the people around us.
The bright colours reflect joy, hope and the beauty of life.
This artwork carries no negative meaning. It is simply a reminder that life is full of light, our connections make us stronger, and when we walk together with positive hearts, we create something beautiful.

Artist Bio

Kelly's Indigenous side comes from her mum who"s father was born in Wellington (Wiradjuri people), Kellys mum and her family grew up on Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island). Kelly was inspired to paint throughout her 27-year career with the Army particularly when she was serving her country on Operational deployments in the Middle East (Iraq, Afghanistan and the Greater Middle East). Some people see her art as “graffiti”; she sees it as an “Art of War”, embedded with memories whilst she was serving on those deployments. It reminds her how lucky we are to live on our land, surrounded by sea, while animals run wild and free. Not all countries have the luxury of living the way we do.
