Early Life and Education
Tracie Eaton was born in Masterton, New Zealand in 1972. She developed an interest in creative expression from an early age. Her career saw her fuse art and healing as she pursued studies in Occupational Therapy at Otago University, and later Colour Psychology at the Beaumont School of Interior Design. Her work and life experiences honed her technique and interest in emotional storytelling through colour.
Career
Eaton began her professional career as an artist in 2017. Her distinctive style quickly gained traction, with her works featured in solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia. Her use of bold colours and textured layers are influenced by her studies in colour psychology and emotion, which have become a signature of her pieces.
She was commissioned as the official artist for Gift Bags provided to Oscar nominees to celebrate their success in 2019, which brought her work to the attention of Hollywood celebrities, collectors, and international media.
In 2025 Eaton launched “The Stories Collection,” a curated body of work celebrating personal transformation and empowerment, with a portion of proceeds supporting charitable organisations including Destiny Rescue and The Carers Foundation.
Her studio and gallery are located on the Gold Coast, where she also hosts private viewings and immersive art experiences.
Philanthropy
Eaton is the founder of Art for Rescue, a charitable initiative that donates a percentage of art sales to causes related to human trafficking rescue, mental health, and community well-being.
