Tracy was born in Nelson, New Zealand. She studied Art at Nelson's Nayland College, which led her into a traineeship illustrating T-shirts for a 'Dots' screen printing company.
It was after she got accepted into Nelson Polytechnic Institute for a Bachelor of Fine Art & Design, she received an important call from a family friend, Tony Purves M.A. BSc.Dip Ed.Artist/ Illustrator/ Restoration, that would change her life for the better.
Tony said, "Why study there when I taught at that Institute for 4 years. 'Why don't you come to Port Douglas, Australia and I'll teach you one on one fine Art. You'll be my last student'. She said 'yes' and had been studying with him for 15years. Having learnt techniques from which the Old Masters praticed .
Tracy paints in top quality Oil colours on Canvas. Most of her work is framed in a Raw Oak or White floating frame. Her subjects range from Coastal, Rainforest, Abstract to Pet Portraits.
Tracy now has her own Art Gallery on Grant Street, Port Douglas, Queensland, where she paints and sells many Artworks. She has sold and exhibited various works throughout Australia and New Zealand.
