Colour, texture and spontaneous mark making are the very elements that breathe life into art, for me.
Lashings of texture and colour form my Impressionistic and sometimes, Abstracted landscapes and floral compositions. My work is informed by my desire for both structure and spontaneity. Experimentation adds vitality and keeps my work fresh and always evolving.
My media of choice is dependent on what the work dictates. (I do find myself especially, in love with oils and inks!) I try to remain open to each piece and be guided intuitively as to the direction in which the work wants to unfold.
I strive to render both form and line in a delightfully, descriptive and enticing way... to draw you in, to examine the layers and intricate details of its created history, more closely.
Creating a sense of excitement, in discovery, is important to me. To be able to find new things to invite you back, to take another look and most importantly... to feel the essence of the work.
