I love color and this is reflected in my art. I am quite versatile and work with all mediums, predominantly acrylic and oils, which helps me navigate a whole spectrum of subject matter, unified by the vibrant hues I use.
Growing up in the outback town of Broken Hill in far west NSW I had a fascination capturing the ever-changing light on the landscape. The red dirt meeting the endless blue skies, the mallee tress silhouetted against the burning setting sun, these are my emotional connections to the land. I capture the light as I see it bouncing off all subjects.
My art isn't just about the vastness of the outback, my still life's also capture the essence of light and shadows, the beauty in everyday objects capturing the finer details. The one consistent theme however is my love of the bold colors, evoking emotions and welcoming the viewer into my world.
