Estampie is a form of music, dance and poetry from the 13th to 14th centuries. This work was inspired specifically by a contemporary music group by the same name. As a personal friend of Mariko, who now sings in the "electro-medieval" group Qntal, I have followed her career avidly and created this work to her music.
