This paintings shows a lady in red shift dress taking a photo with Kodak 'Brownie-type' camera from the 1960s. The location is Adelaide's Rymil Park on a hot summer day. The coolness of the park's lush greenery contrasts with baking white grey of the footpath. This work is from a series of paintings called 'The Tourists' that explore how my grandparent's generation enjoyed their holidays; the fashions they wore and the accessories they used.
The painting has a jarrah wood frame. The wooden board has been prepared using a sealer and a primer.
