Artwork Description

As a professional wrestler from the 1970's, Brute Bernard portrayed the madman. Great theatre, biting padding from turnbuckles, destroying opponents with his unpredictable and unstable moves. This painting places his madness in with Bacon and Velazquez's popes, the former being one of my favourite paintings.

Artist Bio

Trevor McDonald is a Blue Mountains based artist who uses a painterly approach to representation. He is not out to change the world through his art but to imbue some humour and joy through his works. If it makes someone laugh, smile, smirk, nod, chuckle or just feel good then what better way to engage as an artist?
