My artwork is influenced by the vast expanse of ocean which leads out towards the horizons edge and the thought it evokes of what may lie beyond it. Using layers of Beeswax mixed with damar resin (which cures and hardens the wax) as my base I hand apply dry pigments, rubbing them into the wax with my hands and then using a blow touch to burn them into the wax. Using this method over many layers, I slowly build up the image. Easy to hang with a ring on the back.
