This painting is the first in my new series "Into the Garden of Dreams". It takes its title partially from a line of the poem 'Memory' by Zora Cross which I recall from my childhood. Curiously, the poem has resonated with me throughout my life. The garden of dreams is a metaphorical place in which the poet meets herself as an eight-year-old child. I hold a deep fascination for the symbolic language of dream content.
