On a rare visit to Bold Park, I walked the track which leads to a point where you can see all the way to the ocean. Although the vista was spectacular, my eyes and thoughts were drawn to the expanse of scrubby bushland before me and the creatures within. Through the use of colour and texture I wanted to capture the diversity and vibrancy of this landscape and highlight the importance of preserving such places. Back in the studio, I completed a number of studies. This is one of my favourites.
