Artist Bio

Winner: Landscape Painting, RNA 1st 2023, 2024 placed in Wildlife 2025 EKKA
Trish’s artwork focuses on glow in the dark scenes. Her work is marked by realistic images of Australian landscapes and the creatures that live there. The daytime, nighttime scenes reflect the forest and its life. When the sun goes down the forest comes alive with the moonlit glow, glowing sunsets, some animals disappearing/different animals appearing, nocturnal owls taking flight, glowing fungi, and nocturnal wildlife appearing (frogs, mice, kangaroos, possums, koalas, fireflies, glowworms). Experience other lighting phenomenon such as bioluminescent algae sparkling in the waves and lightning flashing across the skies, lighthouses lighting up. The forest and scenery does not stop in the night nor do these paintings. Each painting holds something special.
Your painting is charged with ordinary light, no specialised UV lamps necessary. Just hang the painting on the wall, let the natural light in the room or ordinary household lights charge the painting. The whiter the light, the brighter the painting will glow. It will glow all night.
Trish is Artist-in-Residence at Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, QLD, where she has her studio. Her open studio is open nearly every day of the year.
