This painting depicts my daughter Zoe, who relocated to Melbourne last year, highlighting her courage in moving 1800km from all sheβs known. It reflects my complex emotions towards her move: pride in her accomplishments - finding a job, joining a football club, completing her masterβs while moving in with strangers - mixed with grief and sorrow over the loss of not only her company, but of an era. It was a harsh reminder of lifeβs brevity, and it took some time to adjust. So, this is me letting her go and hoping for a beautiful soft landing for her.
