Artist Bio

Trudi Hipworth is an Australian abstract artist whose work is known for its softness, subtlety, and emotional depth. Inspired by nature, memory, and the small beautiful moments that often go unnoticed, her paintings explore the balance between presence and impermanence.

Her work has been exhibited in Melbourne and Sydney and is held in private collections across Australia, Europe, and the United States.

Working primarily in acrylic on canvas, Trudi builds her paintings through delicate layers, scales of colour, fluid washes, and organic mark-making. Her intuitive process includes sponging, feathering, and pressing techniques that create movement, depth, and a sense of quiet stillness.

Deeply committed to the emotional and sensory experience of painting, Trudi's work invites the viewer to slow down, breathe, and find a moment of calm. She currently works from her home studio in Langwarrin, which is home to animals and native bushland.
