Artist Bio

Ty Robertson AKA - "Fokus". Aerosol artist, born in Sydney 1980 , now residing in sunny Queensland, Australia. Involved in the art world since the late 80's, influenced from family and the inclusion of the "four elements" of hip-hop, one being graffiti into Australia. This was a large influence in Ty's early development of styles in particularly taking much influence from New York City artists. A lot of Ty's work can be attributed to evoking emotions and utelizing the essence of art therapy. Ty has completed numerous courses in art, although predominately self-taught and again heavily influenced from pioneers of the first generation of Australian graffiti gods. Ty has travelled extensively throughout Australia refining his works and has been apart of many exhibitions and completed multiple large scale murals. With an emphasis on lettering and or Wild style graffiti abstraction. Ty likes to explore and tap into multiple forms, including, landscapes, portraiture, abstraction and realism to name a few. Ty is always looking for a challenge and to complete any custom work wanted. Ty also holds accreditation with the ACA - Australian Counselling Association - Level 2.
