Tyler Dan was raised in Southern California where she started exploring and developing her interest and natural talent for drawing.
She now resides in coastal NSW, Australia where her work is influenced by much of what she sees and experiences in the everyday and her natural environment. She has a keen interest in natural forms, architecture, textiles and jewellery.
Her work aims to avoid symmetry and search for balance. An intuitive painter, Tyler does not approach the canvas with an exact plan for what each piece will become, she uses her relationship with colour and restricting her palettes to develop her abstractions arriving at an organic result.
