In this piece (Weariness) I drew my subject who is sitting after a day of hard labour. I wanted to capture his weary expression and form with just one-colored thread, through a needle with linear marks on fabric using a running stitch manipulating the thickness of thread to create tonal variations to bring more volume. I l left the background vague, to bring the focus on his expression. To retain the impression of handmade artwork, I left some of my threads hanging on the sides to give a liberated feel.
