Artwork Description

The expansive landscape and glowing horizon evoke something timeless, while the small white dog, your best friend, grounds the scene in a single, lived moment. He is the heart of the painting and serts it alive.

The long shadows are evocative. They suggest that the day is ending, but completely without sadness. Instead, the "golden hour" is a very special time of the day. A time when ordinary places become extraordinary.

Gratitude and recognition that the most treasured memories are often the simplest ones: a loyal companion, open space, warm light, and the quiet knowledge that for one perfect moment, everything was exactly as it should be.

Enjoying this painting in your own place will put a smile on your face. It could be at the end of your hall way, in your bedroom or wherever you need a bit of sunshine .

The artwork is created with acrylics on gallery ready deep edged stretched canvas and is frame ready to hang. The frame is a minimalist modern pine frame which has been waxed to protect the wood. The artwork has been finished with a UV protection varnish.

Artist Bio

My paintings are guided by nature and express my feelings when out and about. I explore how nature is part of daily life, how it’s light and colours influence our emotions and actions. I’m drawn in by the diversity and boldness. Australia’s natural beauty, dramatic shapes, strong range of colours is a huge influence for my art.
Dare to be bold and be me.

Early artistic expression gave way to a career in IT. This time of my life allowed me to travel the world and experience many wonderful places and cultures and move from my home country Germany to Australia 30 years ago.

My main painting media are acrylics and watercolour. I love to experiment with mixed media and pushing from painting landscapes into abstracted works guided by nature and from my soul.
