Greatly inspired by her loving parents, Uma's passion for art started from the young age of fifteen. Being self taught and learning from years of patience, experimentation and hard work has helped her to appreciate and enjoy her craft. Painting a number of subject matters and predominately using light as her focal point has become a very special aspect of her artwork. Her creations being in collections around the world and receiving numerous awards and accolades has fulfilled her dreams as an artist. The highlight of her career was when she was offered to be on the popular TV program, Colour In Your Life in 2015 which was hosted by the brilliant artist and founder the late Mr Graeme Stevenson. Art has also helped her mentally and spiritually after the passing away of her very dear mum who she was extremely close to. For Uma, painting and creativity is her lifeblood and it is something she will always be very grateful for.
