Lisa is a Melbourne based artist who holds qualifications in Printed Textile Design (Graduate Diploma RMIT) , Landscape Design (Holmesglen College) , Photography (CAE) and Interior Decoration (KLC London). She lives in Melbourne's CBD amongst the vibrant and ever changing life.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork is a laying of images from my design practices, mixing patterns which appear in my vivid imagination, before recording ideas in a sketchbook which come to life on a canvas. Repeating elements creates a sense of rhythm, and explores the emotional tension within spaces, whilst balancing composition and creating harmony. You may find me in a heart stopping moment amongst traffic, engaged by a new palette of colours in the bitumen, or for hours staring into a river where the water changes reflections over shapes below the surface. Photography and painting is a creative release where I deeply connect, freely playing and forgetting time.
