Every house tells a story; and every courtyard has its own characteristics and “feel”. I’ve walked past this public house numerous times during cold wintery nights and was always intrigued by its characteristics. Reflection of the light on the tree branches as they curve and reach outward makes the foreground come alive, the illuminated leaves and the shadow pattern on the fence help pull it all together into a beautiful nightscape. Despite the stigma of public housing often heard in political and social commentary we often miss out on the beauty and the poise of the house itself.
