My still life composition is inspired by the 90s, when old objects, old photos, were retained
and treasured with warmth and care. An ancient phone that has journeyed through time, the
numbers gone, counts down fleeting moments past. An ancient phone, silently exposing fate
and time, rejuvenating precious memories, my mother had an old telephone and remote,
triggering many fights with my brother. I remember when telephone communication was an
unimaginable luxury afforded only by the affluent. Now mobile phones have permeated our
daily lives with such intensity, it is impossible to carry out our everyday chores without them.
