Artwork Description

This atmospheric seascape explores the subtle tension between permanence and change. Painted in rich, earthy browns, cool blues, and muted greys, Tide’s Edge captures the raw beauty of a coastal landscape where land meets water under a shifting sky.

Artist Bio

I’m an artist and an architect with a background in fine art and architectural design. I studied at Prokofiev’s School of Art in Vladivostok, Russia, and later earned a Master’s degree in Architecture from Queensland University of Technology. My work brings together these two worlds—art and architecture—often blending technical precision with creative exploration.

I enjoy experimenting with different techniques and materials, but I’m always drawn back to built forms and landscapes. Whether I’m sketching or painting, I find inspiration in structures—especially those that are worn, weathered, or abandoned. There’s something deeply compelling about ruins and the stories they carry, a kind of quiet beauty in places that have been shaped by time.

From a young age, I have been captivated by the realm of science fiction literature. Growing up in Russia, I immersed myself in classic sci-fi novels, allowing my imagination to flourish and my passion to deepen. In my mind, I crafted intricate worlds that blended elements of Russian folklore—such as whimsical huts and mythical creatures—with the stark reality of Soviet brutalist architecture, all while echoing the remnants of a nation’s dreams of reaching for the stars.

My art is a dynamic reflection of my life’s journey, constantly evolving in response to new experiences and inspirations. This collection serves as a poignant illustration of an immigrant’s memories—not merely of a physical home, but of the vibrant feelings and excitement that linger from cherished moments in the past. Through my work, I invite viewers to explore the intersection of nostalgia and imagination, where the essence of home is redefined by the emotions we carry with us.
