Val is an accomplished artist having 50 plus years of experience. Early training included studies in NZ, England and New York. For the past 20 years she has lived on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. Prior to that Val lived in a number of countries. Her work has been shown in galleries in NZ Australia London and Toronto. In recent times work has been shown in the galleries of the Sunshine Coast but it is now only available from the studio, via solo exhibitions and now through Bluethumb. The work is characterized by clear glowing colors and is influenced by the local landscape and tropical vegetation. Visiting new places and the joy of travel also has a major influence. Frequently commissioned Val has many delighted clients. Her work is in private collections both in Australia and internationally.
