Artwork Description

Ripe figs sit in a simple white bowl, paired with a green leaf brushed with golden tones. I loved capturing those deep purples and fresh greens—they bring such an easy, natural calm to any room.

This painting is inspired by summers at my family’s kitchen table in Italy. It would make a lovely addition to a kitchen or dining space, or a sweet gift for anyone who loves food, colour, and a bit of Mediterranean feel.

Size is 30x40 cm. The canvas has painted sides and is also framed by the artist in Tasmanian oak.

The painting is finished with a semi-gloss varnish that enriches the colours and helps preserve the work over time. It will be carefully packaged for safe transit, and will include a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Artist Bio

I am a Sydney-based acrylic painter, originally from Milan, and mostly self-taught.

My work reflects a connection between two worlds; influenced by the softness of the Italian landscape and the expansive light of Australia, I am drawn to coastal scenes, open horizons, and the beauty of native flora and fauna.

My paintings explore moments of stillness—where light, space, and simplicity invite pause. I often include subtle human elements, creating a gentle narrative that allows viewers to step into the scene. When I paint people, they are often those close to me.

After returning to painting following many years in the corporate world, I am driven by a renewed sense of joy and intuition. Through colour, texture, and composition, I create work that feels both personal and familiar—images that resonate, settle, and stay.

My work spans a range of themes, subjects, and approaches. One constant, however, is colour. My paintings are always as joyous, colourful, and vibrant as the way I see the world.
