This work arose from travels in Vietnam during the beginning of the rainy season. It is based on a photograph taken driving up a mountain on the outskirts of Danang, looking back over the rice fields that made interesting patterns in the landscape. The rice field landscape is typical of a lot of South-East Asia, and could be thought of as cultural landscapes, as they show the interaction between people and nature.
