Artwork Description

Sun Wanderers
A contemporary minimalist abstract inspired by the vast stillness of the Australian outback.
Soft geometric forms and layered earthy tones create a quiet balance between landscape and memory, while scattered kangaroo silhouettes bring movement and life across the open terrain.
The oversized sun dominates the composition like a glowing celestial presence, contrasting with structured cubist planes and organic flowing pathways. Rich ochres, dusty pinks, deep eucalyptus greens, and warm terracotta tones evoke the atmosphere of remote Australian deserts at dusk.
This piece explores solitude, scale, and the poetic calm of nature through a refined contemporary lens — blending modern abstraction with iconic Australian symbolism.
Perfect for modern interiors, collector spaces, and luxury minimalist environments.

Artist Bio

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page!

I am a self-taught artist based in Perth, Western Australia. My work is rooted in Impressionism, with a strong focus on landscapes, while also allowing space for experimentation with abstract and minimalist figurative forms.

I have been painting since childhood, and over time my style has evolved into a blend of classic Impressionist techniques and modern vibrancy. While largely self-taught, I have taken classes and workshops with various artists over the years and continue to study and learn through ongoing instruction. I primarily work with oil on canvas and wood panels, using varied underpainting methods and thick, textured brushstrokes to capture the shifting moods of nature.

I draw inspiration from the diverse landscapes of Western Australia — from bright, open beaches to the deep blues of the Indian Ocean. Alongside landscape painting, I also explore abstract minimalist and figurative art as a way to celebrate Australian nature beyond literal representation.

My aim is not only to express what I see, but what I feel — translating light, movement, and emotion into color and texture.
