Artist Bio

My art represents how I feel about the planet and the animals in our world. I am a Wurundjeri man from my mothers side and I have a deep love for animal welfare. My family taught me how important our environment is, and I express that through the bright beautiful colours, detailed animals and symbols or earthy tones.

I started painting and drawing as a young boy with the help of my Mum and my Uncle Garry. Uncle Garry was an incredible indigenous painter and also a great teacher. For many years I didn’t paint but used different avenues to create including three completed novels. When my uncle developed liver cancer I returned to painting with vigour as I wanted top create something in my Uncle’s honour. I was lucky enough to gift him a completed piece before his passing which he adored.

On the journey through my storytelling many people close to me requested commissioned pieces due to them loving the works I was creating. Since then I have been prolific in the output of my work, I want all Australians to have a form of indigenous art in their homes.

The work I do combines traditional techniques along with a graffiti style edge, but I am very mindful to respect history and regions by making the stories my very own. I am excited about the final works I produce and the huge journey that lies in my path.
