I take my inspiration from the Australian landscape. Our beautiful sage greens, terracotta, yellow tones that can be found in our foliage and wild flowers. It’s so very therapeutic for me to paint shapes and patterns in this layered style., and this is present in the paintings I have created. All are unique and beautiful. All of the paintings from my Botanical series can be paired together, they will bring colour and beauty in any home or office space. My style is intuitive, I paint in the colours that I choose on the day, there is no plan I simply start painting on the canvas. This piece has a Retro feel to it. I love painting this way, makes me feel happy. Hope you enjoy this piece as much as I loved creating it.

Artwork Description
Artist Bio
For as long as I can remember, I've always sketched, painted and sculpted whenever I had the chance whether it was during school or my own free time.
Growing up in the Dandenong's, I was surrounded by the many hues of green, brown and blue in the nature surrounding my house. My upbringing has heavily influenced the art i create, as I am drawn to our beautiful landscapes here in Australia, as previewed in my current collection of beach and nature pieces.
Throughout the years of developing my own art style I've been heavily influenced by the French impressionists, as well as the use of a small palette knife to mix colours straight onto the canvas, enabling me to create on the spot. My style of art allows me to express myself through the canvas, and gives me a sense of freedom.
I've had my own small exhibition at Little Deer Tracks Cafe, I regularly sell my art at local markets and I also have done numerous commission pieces.
To me, what I love the most about creating art is learning different ways to add texture to my paintings through beach waves or different types of flowers, as well as mixing as many colours as I can to create my desired palette on the canvas.
