Oil on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Here I wanted to depict the beach landscape at dusk, the dark turquoise sea against the muddy brown sand. The mystery of what’s beneath the water always fascinates me.

My influence here is always the beautiful colours you find in nature, typical to the Australian native flowers and foliage. Nature is my inspiration, the shapes, colours all so different, they naturally compliment each other. This painting would bring colour and a sense of peace anywhere you place it in your home, it’s so pretty with all the natural tones, simple and beautiful.
ShowI am really missing the beautiful summer weather. In the afternoon I love to relax, enjoy a good book, a Venetian peach spritz with some of my favourite aperativo. I love using fresh summer colours. This is a spread that my mum or Nonna, when my kids come with me, that she would put on the table for lunch. Fresh deli meats she purchased from her local deli that morning, fresh rolls. San Pellegrino for the kids, Bira Morretti for the men. Love this , we always spread our deli meats on the paper straight on the table for everyone to grab a roll and eat, mangare. She loves fresh cut flowers from her garden. This is a very personal piece. It’s a beautiful, fresh piece that I’m really proud of. Hope you love it as much as I’ve loved painting it.Before painting this piece I had baked some Madeleines and decided that this piece would be French inspired. I found the name of a French port, Lille and thought it was a pretty bottle, the label was a great challenge to paint which I enjoyed. Decided to put my absolute favourite author and the first book of hers I had read and there you have it, this beautiful painting. I’m really proud of how it turned out, hope you love it.
