Venessa lives on the Victorian Surfcoast with Husband Dom and their two boys. Originally from the suburban outskirts of Melbourne, Venessa has always been a daydreamer, and a true creative, finding beauty in the ordinary moments of routine life.
Venessa studied fashion and built her career specialising in accessories. She worked for both Australian designers and some of the biggest fashion retailers in Australia. Fashion has shaped her interests in colour, texture and trend and are present in her artwork today.
Venessa finds solitude in painting and drawing. Her art is inspired by her observations of the humorous aspects of humanities daily routines and rituals. Venessa’s style is messy, exaggerated, and at times tongue in cheek. ‘I want people to feel a sense of satisfaction, joy, and maybe have a little laugh about the realities of social engagements, and life's imperfections.’
