Artwork Description

This drawing is inspired by my recent trip to Vietnam. I love the painted eyes on these wooden boats, it's like they each have their own character. Local traders use these boats to sell goods such as fruit and vegetables on the river. As you cruise along you can pull up to each boat and make your purchase.

Sadly, it is a traditional way that is fading. As the infrastructure of Vietnam improves the river is no longer the preferred mode of transport.

The drawing is made by hand using a vintage style "dip pen" and ink. It is a unique one-of-a kind piece, not a print or reproduction.

Signed in ink on the lower right side.

Sold unframed.
