During lockdown in the initial stages of the Covid pandemic like many artists I painted inside reflecting on the domestic interior. Drawing food has always been an interesting theme for me and in isolation cooking and drawing food became a way of finding joy during difficult days. The painting is a celebration of the sumptuous and a delight for the senses.
