I have used pastel shades to create this work that explores the plants that grow over the back fence.
I want this artwork to ignite in others that sense of connection we get in our neighborhoods and communities when we share and engage.
My own personal influences for this work come from the relationship I have with my beautiful neighbor. She always hangs buckets of lemons and olives over the fence and we have a chat whenever we see each other in the garden.
You will see within this work many details of plants that grow in suburban areas of Victoria - gardenia, passionfruit vine, nasturtiums, olives.
