I finally found my passion for art after attending a local botanical art class. I started in watercolors but quickly progressed to colored pencil and graphite. I also love to use pen after attending a scientific drawing class at the botanical gardens in Sydney. I use the method to achieve light and shade in more contemporary botanical works, not specifically scientific.
Living near the Australian bush on the northern beaches of Sydney, I'm spoilt for choice with lots of botanical inspiration nearby. After a little break in drawing while raising two children, I'm finally getting my creative mojo back.... watch this space!
