Oil on wood, ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Rambling and weatherbeaten as an old cottage and equally endearing, this messy little thicket is home to wrens and swallows, lizards and moths and unseen spiders that will weave silver thread from tip to tip in the night. To me, it is full of delicious berry tones, warm neutrals and delicate texture.
This piece is done on reclaimed board from a salvage yard, with its own backing frame, primed and given a new season with a fresh coat of paint and ready to hang as-is. Colour wraps round the solid edges for a finished look unframed.
