I am a Mornington Peninsula based artist with an eclectic choice of subject and medium. My favourite things to paint are people and landscapes, and my style ranges from semi-realistic to abstract to surreal. I start most of my paintings with a feeling in mind and see where it takes me.
The striking colours and light of the landscape in Mornington Peninsula are a great inspiration. We are surrounded on all sides by the sea and the weather changes constantly, creating drama everywhere you look. I hope my paintings capture the emotional resonance of place through layered textures, high-pigment palettes, and expressive forms.
