Artwork Description

The Path Taken has been officially recorded in the National Registry of Australian Art and Artists with the National Registration Number of 000-46535-0138-01

"The Path Taken" is a captivating abstract work that invites viewers to embark on a journey through a labyrinth of color and emotion. This acrylic on canvas piece features a mesmerizing interplay of hues, primarily green, blue, purple, and orange, which weave together to form an intricate and dynamic path.

The dominant greens evoke a sense of growth and renewal, reminiscent of lush forests and verdant landscapes. Subtle transitions into blues suggest the calmness and depth of serene waters, guiding the viewer into a tranquil state of introspection. The purples, with their rich and mystical tones, add an element of wonder and imagination, hinting at the unknown and the magical aspects of the journey. Meanwhile, the vibrant oranges infuse the piece with energy and warmth, symbolizing moments of passion and creativity along the way.

The abstract path pattern, with its fluid lines and organic shapes, leads the eye on an unpredictable yet harmonious voyage. Each twist and turn in the composition reflect the myriad choices and experiences that define one's personal journey. The interplay of colors and forms creates a sense of movement and continuity, suggesting that the path taken, though winding and sometimes uncertain, is inherently beautiful and full of discovery.

"The Path Taken" is not just a visual experience but an emotional and introspective one, encouraging viewers to reflect on their own paths and the vibrant tapestry of experiences that shape their lives.

Artist Bio

My interest in art was piqued while I was a very young child, sitting and watching my father create his artworks, mostly the Australian landscape. While I love the multi-faceted beauty of artistic creativity, my passion lies in the field of decorative art, expressionist and impressionist styles.

With more than thirty-five years’ experience as an artist I have been inspired by many sources including: the decorative arts movement, nature, cultural heritage and impressionism. My art is a celebration of eclectic creativity and expression, and whether it’s a vibrant abstract piece or a serene landscape, every artwork tells a unique story that resonates on a personal level.

While proficient in a variety of mediums my true medium love is acrylic. I always use the most excellent archival quality acrylic paint and mediums in all my artworks to ensure vibrant colors, lasting durability, that truly brings my creative vision to life.

My art has been exhibited and sold in many Sydney cafes and art exhibitions. My Trompe Loell and other artworks have been featured in Hospital wards in Sydney and Hobart, as well as the Decorative Artist magazine, and have garnered appreciation from art enthusiasts and collectors alike. I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of artistic expression and continually evolve and experiment with new techniques and styles.

All my artworks are signed (the year is hidden within the painting) and come with a certificate of authenticity.

Each piece of canvas art is finished on the sides, sealed on the back with protective covering, and ready to hang.
