Artwork Description

I painted ‘Opal country’ to show the beauty of Australian nature ‘underground’ as well as to remind myself about the exquisiteness of a human soul. We focus most of our attention on external allure and do not look deep inside often enough.
I have used beautiful metallic copper paint on the edges of the 'river', that shines in the light. I have also used metalic paint for parts of the 'opals'. It gives the bottom part of the painting a gorgeous 'sparkle'.
This painting comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
This is a unique, one of painting.

Artist Bio

I live in a leafy Melbourne suburb as proximity to nature is very important to me.
I adore bright colours and I love painting vibrant abstracts and contemporary paintings that make a statement. In my works I like to create balance in chaos, movement in stillness and beauty in imperfection. I am inspired by nature, in particular by trees and flowers, to create something original without restricting myself to any particular style.
I have a curious mind that likes to explore and find connections between seemingly unrelated things and concepts. I love how I can plan a painting in my head but I have to feel the image in my heart.
I have a Masters Degree in Mathematical and Information Sciences but I have been also painting for many years. I come from a creative family on my fathers side and it was only natural that I pick up a brush at some stage in my life.

Most of my paintings are an image of what I see with my heart, as I don't paint what I see, I paint what I feel. I have an interest in psychology and self-development, and I feel that art allows me to explore complex feelings and subconsciously analyse them through the creation of an original image.

Most of my paintings are in either oil or acrylic.

I have exhibited with Victorian Artists Society, Polish Art Foundation, Contemporary Artists Society and Ringwood Arts Society. I have also exhibited at a number of Art Shows across Australia.
